Mathmos is growing and we are recruiting a number of new roles. The jobs will be based partly in the lava lamp factory and headquarters in Poole, Dorset (nr. Holes Bay) and partly from home. We have free car and bike parking on-site and operate a strict Covid safe policy.

Senior eCommerce & Digital Marketing Exec.

  • Full-time
  • Up to £44k per annum
  • £30k - £40k per annum basic (depending on experience)
  • Up to 10% of basic in company wide sales related bonus.

As a key member of the eCommerce team, you will be involved in a wide variety of digital marketing activities growing our B2C sales in the UK and Internationally. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • PPC – initially working with our agency managing paid search and social ad campaigns with a view to managing this yourself from the New Year.
  • SEO for all Mathmos websites and Amazon listings working with a group of translators both in house and externally.
  • Web development: working with our in house designer.
  • Website Platform Migration: contributing to the choice of new platform and the project of moving Mathmos websites to the next level.
  • Social Media Marketing: working with the team to expand and improve our social media activity.
  • Conversion Optimisation.
  • Copy Writing: creating well written and well-optimised copy in the appropriate tone of voice for websites, email marketing, blogs and social media.
  • Customer Retention: pro-actively working with the internal team to retain our customers.
  • Other Ecommerce and Digital Marketing activity as required taping into whatever skills you may have.

You:

  • Have in depth SEO and PPC experience.
  • Have a minimum of three year’s eCommerce / digital marketing experience.
  • Are an all rounder with good technical skills.
  • Ideally you have an interest in marketing a premium niche brand Internationally.
  • Are a team player who is happy to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.
  • Are happy to share your knowledge and train others.

French Speaking Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Support Executive JOB FILLED

  • Full or Part-Time or Contract hours to be negotiated
  • £18 - £25k per annum pro rata (depending on experience)
  • Up to 20% company-wide sales related bonus.

We are looking for a native French speaker with a keen eye for detail to join our E-commerce team at our headquarters in Willis Way, Poole. As a key member of the digital marketing team, alongside your customer support role, you will be helping optimise our websites and implement digital campaigns. You will be required to come into the factory, we have a large open plan office allowing for social distancing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer service France and Belgium – responding to incoming customer service enquiries and reviews via email, telephone and over social media, as part of the e-commerce team
  • Translating web content – editing, optimising, and posting content on websites.
  • Search Engine Optimisation – optimising meta-data, copy and links for the French website.
  • Translating well-optimised copy for websites, email marketing and social media.
  • Email marketing – using Mailchimp to implement localised email campaigns
  • Trade customer management as required assist in the management of French wholesale customers.
  • Creating and managing French social media accounts mirroring the UK account and making them relevant for French consumers.
  • Other office, sales and eCommerce tasks as required.

You:

  • Are a native French Speaker with excellent written French.
  • Have one year’s digital marketing experience
  • Are a team player who is happy to do customer service
  • Are happy to share your knowledge and train others
  • Have good English both written and spoken.
  • Have good keyboard skills and are IT literate

Production Supervisor JOB FILLED

  • Full Time
  • £20k - £25k depending on experience
  • Start Date: ASAP

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be managing our lava lamp mix production and pick and pack staff in the lava lamp factory ensuring maximum productivity of production and fulfilment.

You

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Are computer literate and have knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Have proven management experience
  • Ideally, you have a forklift truck licence

Pick & Pack and Fulfilment

  • To manage the daily dispatch of goods ensuring accuracy and efficiency for all goods leaving the factory.
  • To prioritise and assign the picking of sales orders from the accounting system.
  • Report any discrepancies which will prevent the pick notes from being dispatched to the sales department
  • To ensure the pick cages are always fully stocked 
  • To meet agreed daily targets

Warehouse

  • Complete bin stock locations checks
  • To control the receiving of delivered goods and report any discrepancies
  • To control the moment within the warehouse of both finished stock and stock awaiting dispatch
  • To ensure the stock of raw materials within the warehouse is situation in suitable location to meet the agreed Lava production builds
  • Agree and Maintain perpetual stock counts

Mix Production

  • To ensure that all mix planned production is achieved based on an agreed plan
  • Ensure all equipment is full maintained to ensure a continual production flow
  • That the required materials are available to meet the agreed plan.

Fork Trucks, safety Cage and ladders

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of the forklift trucks
  • Holder of the ladder register and complete inspections
  • To ensure the safety cage is maintained and used when required

Staff Management

  • To recruit, train and monitor staff.
  • To ensure all procedural, Health and Safety and Covid safe regulations are followed.
